Dr. R. Kousik Kumaar, an accomplished professional in the field of Aeronautical Engineering, was born in Coimbatore, India. He holds a distinguished educational background, having completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, and Hindustan University, Chennai, respectively. He further pursued his academic journey and obtained his Doctoral degree from Anna University, Chennai. With over 12 years of dedicated service, Dr. Kousik Kumaar served as a faculty member at Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, where he contributed significantly to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Aeronautical Engineering, as well as conducting research in the same field. Currently, he is an esteemed member of the faculty at NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology, NITTE (Deemed to be) University, Bangalore. He also serves as a Research Supervisor for Ph.D., M.S. (by Research), and Integrated Ph.D. programmes in Aerospace Engineering under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). In addition, he is a recognized Research Supervisor for the Ph.D. programme in Aeronautical Engineering under Nitte Deemed-to-be University, Bengaluru. 

Dr. Kousik Kumaar's areas of expertise encompass a range of crucial disciplines, including Aircraft Structural Mechanics, Composite Materials, Materials Characterization, and CFD Analysis. He is not only well-versed in his chosen fields but has also made significant contributions to academic literature. He has authored four books and two book chapters, secured seven Design Patent, and published ninteen papers in Q2, Q3, Q4, Scopus and WoS indexed journals. Additionally, his scholarly achievements extend to presenting twenty-seven papers at various international and national conferences. Dr. Kousik Kumaar, a distinguished academician, has earned a prestigious role as an Editorial Board member for the esteemed journal "Advances in Aerospace Science and Application." Additionally, he serves as a Reviewer for the "American Journal of Aerospace Engineering," published by Science Publishing Group, starting from the year 2023. He is also a proud lifetime member of both the Aeronautical Society of India and the Institution of Engineers India, further emphasizing his dedication to his profession.

Dr. Kousik Kumaar's expertise and commitment have garnered him recognition from uLektz academy, where he was honoured as one of the Top 50 Expert Faculties in the field of Electrical/Electronics/Civil/Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering across India in the year 2019. In line with his passion for sharing knowledge, he has delivered numerous lectures on Aeronautical Engineering at various institutions. Moreover, Dr. Kousik Kumaar actively contributes to the development of Aeronautical Education as a Technical Inspection Committee Member of Alagappa University, Karaikudi, for Aeronautical Courses. His organizational skills are evident through the successful coordination of seminars, workshops, and industrial visits at both NIET and NMIT. Dr. R. Kousik Kumaar's enthusiasm for academic development has seen him participate in more than 60 plus seminars, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and workshops, further enhancing his knowledge and sharing insights within the academic community.
