I am working as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry at Jagdish Chandra DAV College Dasuya, Punjab, India since 2005. I have earned my B.Sc. degree from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla in 2001, Master's degree from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 2003, and Ph.D. degree from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar in 2019. I have published over 80 peer-reviewed research articles in international journals with high impact factors and repute. I also have written six book chapters, including three chapters in Encyclopedia of Semiconductor Nanotechnology (7-volume series) published by American Scientific Publishers. My current research interests include the synthesis, characterization, and applications of nanomaterials as biosensors, gas sensors, photocatalysts, and other applications, as well as cellulose-based grafted polymers.
I am one of the world's most influential scientists. This is according to Stanford University's "2022 World's top 2% of researchers/scientists" database. Elsevier's "World's Top 2% Scientists" ranking was released on October 10, 2022. Elsevier contributed Scopus data for this study. According to Stanford University and Elsevier, I am among the top 2% of researchers globally for the year 2021 in the discipline of materials science. My name appears on both lists, Authors Career 2021 and Authors Single Year 2021.
