This talk provides an overview of the Physiology of Addiction but is specifically tailored to meet the interests and needs of Correctional Officers.
Inmates often have a history of trauma, making them more susceptible to drug use and addiction. Even in prison, where there are no cigarets, 80-90%of inmates will start smoking again after being tobacco free for the entirety of their sentence. Dr. Potee attempts to describe why this population is at risk for addiction, and how is it possible to help them.
