Having completed my undergraduate degree in England, I emigrated to Canada to pursue graduate studies in clinical psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston. After receiving my doctorate, I became a registered psychologist, which qualified me to practice independently.
At Queen’s University I was on faculty as a professor in the psychology department for several years, as well as a psychologist with the Kingston General Hospital and University Student Counselling Service. I moved to Barrie to get married and establish a private practice, which has been active in this community for over thirty years.
As a speaker with the National Speakers Bureau, I have presented at conferences and workshops across North America. I have authored articles that were published in parenting magazines and professional journals, as well as several books, including:
Now I Know Why Tigers Eat Their Young: How to Survive Your Teenager With Humor and
Cinderella Revisited: How to Survive Your Stepfamily Without a Fairy Godmother
