Directed Reading Program network
DRP's are mathematics mentorship programs, pairing undergraduate students with grad student mentors for a semester-long reading project. Typically run by graduate students with minimal faculty oversight, these allow undergrads the opportunity to learn mathematics outside of the classroom and graduate students the opportunity to mentor one-on-one.

Started at the University of Chicago in 2003 by Mark Behrens and Moon Duchin, there are now more than 20 institutions who run or have run DRP's in the United States, most started through grassroots efforts by local graduate students.
