Effective date: 19 October 2026
Drowsmith is developed and operated by Murali Chebrolu, an independent app developer. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Drowsmith iOS app or contact support.
Drowsmith does not require an account. Your mixes, saved presets, imported audio, personal recordings, and sound settings are processed and stored in the app’s storage on your device. The app does not upload this content to the developer or provide its own cloud-sync service.
Drowsmith does not include advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not request your location, contacts, or advertising identifier.
Microphone access is requested only when you choose to record a personal sound. You may decline permission and continue using the built-in sounds. You can withdraw microphone permission in iOS Settings at any time.
If you import audio using the system file picker, the app copies the selected file into its local storage so it can be used in your mixes.
If you contact drowsmith.support@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot problems, and meet applicable legal obligations. Support messages are processed through Google Gmail.
We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address. We will delete information that is no longer needed, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. We do not use support correspondence for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Your app data remains in the app’s local storage. Removing a layer or deleting a draft does not necessarily erase its underlying imported or recorded audio file.
To remove all data in Drowsmith’s local container, delete the app from your device rather than offloading it. Device backups are not removed by deleting the app. Manage them separately through Apple backup settings.
The developer cannot access or remotely delete mixes and recordings stored only on your device.
Apple may separately process App Store transactions, device backups, and diagnostics according to your account settings and Apple’s privacy practices.
Our policy and support pages are hosted on Google Sites, and support email uses Gmail. Google’s handling of information through those services is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Research links in Drowsmith open external websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
We may update this policy if Drowsmith’s features or information-handling practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
