Summary: The Dropped Objects Calculator does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All calculations and data remain entirely on your device.
The Dropped Objects Calculator (“the App”) is a mobile safety calculation tool developed by PS Consulting Services (PSCS). It provides two core functions: a dropped object severity assessment and a drop zone barricade size calculator. The App is intended for use by safety professionals, engineers, and workers in the construction and at-height work industries.
We collect no personal information. The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any identifying details. No data you enter into the App — including mass values, heights, drop zone parameters, or calculation results — is ever transmitted to PSCS or any third party.
All data you enter exists only in your device’s memory for the duration of the current session and is discarded when the App is closed.
The App requests access to your device’s photo library solely to allow you to attach site photographs to exported safety assessment reports. This permission is used only when you explicitly tap “Add from library” and select photos yourself.
• Photos are accessed on a read-only basis.
• Selected photos are held in device memory only for the duration of the current session.
• Photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored by PSCS.
• Photos are embedded in PDF reports that you choose to export and share from your own device.
• You can decline photo library permission at any time in your device’s Settings. The App’s calculation functions remain fully available without this permission.
The App can generate PDF reports of your assessment results. These PDFs are created entirely on your device and delivered directly to iOS’s native share sheet. PSCS does not receive, process, or store any exported report content. Where you choose to send or save those PDFs is governed by your own choices and the privacy policies of any apps or services you share them with.
The App contains no analytics tools, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or any other third-party SDKs that transmit data off your device. We do not track your usage, behaviour, or any in-app activity.
The App is intended for professional use by adults in occupational safety contexts. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
The App does not integrate with any third-party services that collect data. The App references Dropsonline.org methodology for the severity assessment calculations, but does not connect to or share data with Dropsonline.org or any other external service.
Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no personal data at risk of breach on our side. Any reports you export and store on your device are subject to the security protections provided by iOS (including device encryption when your device is locked).
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
