*The book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, Updated and Expanded (pg. 162), first identifies R2-M5 in the new canon. The image is of the astromech on the Queen's royal starship. Furthermore, The Complete Visual Dictionary, New Edition, shows the image of R2-M5 as the astromech on the Queen's royal starship. The other similar looking astromech, seen later in Episode 1 in the Naboo hangar, may in fact be R2-D1.
