Welcome

Like presumably everyone, my Mine-imator journey began with Minecraft. I bought the game on September 24th of 2013 and I've been captivated ever since. My biggest inspiration for animation was Slamacow. I had taken a primitive animation and design class in middle school and discovered my love for animation so I googled "Minecraft animation software" since blender seemed a bit out of my league. Mine-imator was the first result, and the rest is history!

I've been using Mine-Imator since late 2014. It's been a fun ride making animations but like many creators, my life started to get busier as I grew up and while the quality of my work has improved the quantity has taken a significant hit. I would call Mine-imator a passion when I started, but a hobby now.

The profile I use online "Dr. Nexil" is a character I came up with in 2014. I made Dr. Nexil like myself since I am a tall person in real life (6'3") and blue was my favorite color at the time. Nexil and I have since become somewhat synonymous, even becoming my nickname growing up and of course online everywhere.

I mostly make renders and wallpapers now, but I have an animation or two I'm working on.

Anyway, some fun facts about me:

I have a cat named Pixie (she's currently 11, and very cute)

I own two vintage Volkswagens, a bus and a bug from the '70s

I grew up with (and still love) Lego, which likely led to my love for Minecraft

I recently took up photography!

I've traveled to all 50 US states and 42 other countries
