Dr. Mukesh Kumar is an R&D Manager (Apache Friction R&D Center) in TVS-Brakes India Pvt. Ltd. at Chennai since June’2019. Prior to his present appointment, he was an Assistant Professor position at School of Physics and Materials Science, Thapar University Patiala (Aug’2017-June 2019).

He was awarded PhD degree in Materials Science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2010. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden and National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. Some areas he has worked on are Friction materials, Tribology, photovoltaic, semiconductors and plasmonics.
