Dr Minhthao Nguyen DO

Bio

Dr Minhthao Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American Endocrinologist who was born in Orange County, California. Early on, she knew she would return home and open her own clinic to help the local community. She attended AT Still University in Arizona for medical school, chosen for it's mission statement to improve the delivery of healthcare to those in underserved areas. She then went on to complete her internal medicine internship and residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her endocrinology fellowship at the top of her class at the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, our state's Capital with praise from her attending physicians regarding her attention to detail and care for her patients. Through her medical training throughout the United States, she has treated patients of all backgrounds and provides the same compassionate care to all.

Philosophy of Care

I see patients as individuals with specific problems, not as a disease state. I listen carefully to their concerns, and am committed to finding the best treatment option for them, and making sure nothing is missed during the diagnosis and treatment. I make sure they leave the clinic having their questions and concerns addressed while maintaining high-value care for all.

Clinical Interests

I treat all aspects of endocrinology, including all hormonal issues, diabetes and metabolism conditions. During my time in Endocrinology Fellowship at UC Davis, I had a special interest in adrenal diseases, PCOS, and osteoporosis. I am conversational in Vietnamese.

Research/Academic Interests

Although I focus on clinical practice, I have previously published my original research on PCOS in the high-impact journals Diagnostics and the Journal of the Endocrine Society. I've also published and presented multiple poster presentations at local and regional conferences.
