Dr Melissa Hynes is taking new patients.

Dr Melissa Hynes graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Medicine in 2016.  After undertaking further training at the Austin Hospital, The Royal Children's Hospital and Monash Health, she made the transition into general practice. In 2022, Melissa was awarded the Richard Clinton Gutch medal for achieving the highest overall score in Victoria for the RACGP Fellowship Examinations. She subsequently obtained her Fellowship of General Practice in 2023.

Melissa has a special interest in child and adolescent health, women's health and sexual health. She has completed additional training in paediatrics through the Sydney Child Health Program. She particularly enjoys the breadth of general practice and working collaboratively with her patients to optimise all aspects of their health and wellbeing. 

Melissa has recently returned to the rooms of Carlton Medical Centre after a period of maternity leave, and looks forward to welcoming new and returning patients.
