Content copied from any other article or anywhere is considered, as Plagiarism.
A higher amount of copied content for publication is a crime.
The plagiarism tool is only to check the similar content. It is not for checking the idea of any work.
How Plagiarism report is generated?
Plagiarism report means a similarity report.
A plagiarism report is generated through plagiarism software.
The plagiarism software checks the content of your article.
Plag report and percentage of Plag are generated by checking the plag ratio. The total plag ratio is generated by looking below points.
If the plagiarism software finds any similar data of your article which is already available over the internet, it will surely be considered as Plag.
If three or more then three words are copied or similar contents, the weightage of plag is less.
If one paragraph or more than one paragraph are copied or similar contents, the weightage of plag is highest.
Suggestions to remove/reduce the Plagiarism:
Avoid copying any content from anywhere.
Don't do copy-paste. Read the content and write content from your own language.
Do not use content from a single source. Use the content from may articles. it will surely help to reduce the Plagiarism.
For writing literature/article:
Avoid taking content from a single article only.
Content from more articles helps to reduce Plagiarism.
Take content from many works of the article but don't copy.
Write the content in your own language and cite the paper accordingly.
Use a good plagiarism software to check your article.
Avoid online free plagiarism tools. Use some good tools such as Turnitin.
Generate the plag report without including references.
How much Plagiarism is accepted?
The percentage of plagiarism for acceptance of the article may vary as per Journal standard.
SCI/SCOPUS indexed non-paid good Journals mostly can accept the research paper with plagiarism below 15%.
However, the acceptance ratio can be a little bit higher for Survey paper in comparison to the Research article.
You also have to check plag from a single source.
The plag ratio from a single source should be very less.
Below 3 % Plag from a single source can be acceptable.
Don't Panic: If the plagiarism percentage is approx15-40,
It can be reduced.
Don't panic and Don't try to change the below things, if plagiarism is showing on:
your name,
Institute name
email id
Many keywords which cannot be changed.
10-15 % plagiarism is allowed because some data can't be changed such as name, email, address, technical keyword.
If plag is showing the references, don't panic. Most of the journals are not considering references as plag.
Panic Situation: If the Plag report is higher than 50 %
More than 50% of plag is a serious issue.
if Plag from a single paper is higher than 5%, it is again a big issue.
Better delete complete data that is copied and write the fresh content.

Find the content
Try to understand the content
Find the keywords from the content
Now analyze that content and write in your own language.
Finally, the cite that article.
Take small and important information from a single article to write the article.
