With a deep personal commitment, I was part of an initiative by the Indian Association of Savings and Credits (IASC) titled “Nukkadshala” from 2014 to 2016. The objective of the program was to conduct free English language classes for children between the ages of 8 and 14 who lived on the fringes of society due to social divisions and economic constraints. As a member of this non-profit project, I was in charge of coordinating activities in a small village in Coimbatore. I often believe that it is such small efforts that add the brightest colours to our lives. There are countless children in need of an anchor to hold on to, so that they do not drown in the whirlpool of life. In my own modest way, I simply extended my hand to them.
During my tenure as an Assistant Professor at CIET, I also served as one of the coordinators for conducting summer classes for students from nearby government schools. With great passion and enthusiasm, the students were introduced to basic communication skills and theatrical arts.
