Corporate governance in both developed and developing countries. In this stream, I intend to understand the antecedents and consequences of corporate governance arrangements in different organizational settings. I examine the different aspects of corporate governance, including Board composition; Board Independence; nomination committees; Audit Committee, CEO and executive director’s influence; Earning Management, Gender, Ethnicity and Nationality diversity and sustainability. I am also interested in the educational background of directors and its effects on board diversity and firm performance.
Firm disclosure policy and consequences, in which I want to explore and understand firms' disclosure strategies in the different reporting media and the consequences of such disclosure strategies. In this context, I examine voluntary reporting, intellectual capital reporting, human resource disclosure, and corporate social responsibility reporting.
Moreover, I have examined the Institutional Ownership and Capital Structure effects on performance, and I am interested in examining the capital structure effects on firms’ financing decisions.
Currently, I am working on three projects: (i) Nationality diversity, (ii) Power and struggle between CEO, executive and incumbent directors and (iii) Demographic Faultline of directors
