Research Experiences:
Seven years of post Ph. D. experience
1. After Ph. D.:
• Worked as CSIR-Pool Scientist at CSIR- Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow UP on Suppression for YABBY TFs for enhanced Terpenoid biosynthesis in Ocimum tenuiflorum and O. basilicum from January 2021 to May 2021.
• Worked as a Dr. DS Kothari Postdoc Fellow at the Department of Biotechnology, Central University of Rajasthan, Kishangarh, Ajmer on secondary metabolite associated TFs in tomato fruit from September 2016 to 31 August 2019.
• Worked as Research Associate at NIPGR, New Delhi with Dr. Manoj Majee from May 2016 to August 2016 on functional analysis of candidate abiotic stress responsive genes in chickpea.
• Worked as Post Doc Research Scientist with Dr. Ran Hovav at Agriculture Research Organization (ARO), Israel on transcriptome analysis of peanut seed and pod development from November 2013 to January 2016.
• Worked as Research Associate in ICGEB-New Delhi under guidance of Dr. M. K. Reddy from June 2013 to October 2013 for developing herbicide tolerant rice.
2. During Ph. D. programme:
• Worked as Project JRF/SRF in DST sponsored project entitled “Study of DREB & MYC/MYB Transcription Factors from Salicornia brachiata for abiotic stress tolerance in plants” under guidance of Dr. Pradeep K. Agarwal from 16 Nov 2007 to 31 March 2011 in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Work included isolation and characterization of DREB and MYB transcription factors from Salicornia brachiata.
• Worked as CSIR-SRF in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, Gujarat from April 2011 to November 2012 for Ph.D programme on the topic “Isolation and functional analysis of a DREB2 transcription factor from Salicornia brachiata” under guidance of Dr. Pradeep K. Agarwal. Work includes generation and characterization of transgenic tobacco plants of SbDREB2A for abiotic stress tolerance.
3. During M. Sc. dissertation:
• Project Title: Studies on in-vitro regeneration of Pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan (L) Millsp.) Cultivars IPA-242 & IPA-204 (With Dr. Dinesh Yadav, Department of Biotechnology, D.D.U. Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur). The work included multiple shoot regeneration using different explants of Pigeon pea.
