Dr. Jatin Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He has focused his career on patient care and the management of rheumatic diseases. As the founder of Arthritis & Rheumatology Center, P.C., in Georgia, he began the practice 13 years ago with a vision of providing patients with comprehensive and attentive care. His center has grown to include seven locations: Canton, Cumming, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, Roswell/Alpharetta, Suwanee/Johns Creek, and Woodstock. He provides care at the Roswell/Alpharetta and Cumming offices.
Dr. Patel has developed expertise in Osteoarthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Scleroderma, Vasculitis, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, and Platelet-Rich Plasma therapies. His focus on these specialties guides the services his center provides, ensuring support for a broad range of complex conditions.

Jatin Patel, MD, and his team at Arthritis & Rheumatology Center diagnose and treat a comprehensive range of rheumatologic diseases. Conditions managed at the center include Ankylosing Spondylitis, Bursitis and Tendonitis, Gout, Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (Wegener's), Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Myositis and Metabolic Myopathy, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, Sjogren's Disease, Soft Tissue Disorders, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and Vasculitis.
He and his colleagues have established the center as a complete outpatient medical practice. Their services include infusion treatments, a CLIA-certified lab, X-rays, MRI, clinical trials, and an in-house dispensary. By consolidating these resources, the practice offers convenience and continuity of care to those receiving rheumatology care.

Patel has been recognized for his professional contributions. His honors include Alpharetta’s Best Doctor in Rheumatology 2017 and Castle Connolly Best Doctor 2023. In 2012, he earned the first grand prize in the American College of Rheumatology Image Competition, chosen from 175 entries. This annual peer-reviewed event highlights clinical images from the ACR Image Library that are recognized at the ACR Convergence meeting.
He continues to support clinical education and advances in rheumatology by actively participating in such programs.
Dr. Patel has published clinical research articles in national and international journals. He has also presented research at the American College of Physicians national meetings and at workshops sponsored by the American College of Rheumatology.

Jatin Patel, MD, completed his medical education at C.U. Shah Medical College in western India. He finished an internal medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Hospital in New Jersey. He then completed a Rheumatology fellowship at Drexel University/Hahnemann Hospital, where he gained clinical and research experience in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. His research was published and presented at professional meetings. He also holds a Certification in Registered Musculoskeletal Sonography.
His dedication to medical education and research enhances the quality of care he delivers to his patients.
Patel donated $150,000 to the Boston Children's Hospital lab in 2015 and 2016 in support of clinical research and trials. In 2025, he contributed $5,000 to the National Psoriasis Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping people with psoriatic disease.
Through charitable giving, he supports medical research and organizations that benefit patients and their families.
He was influenced by his parents, who were both physicians. As a child, he joined his father on house calls and saw the impact that careful medical care can have on patients. These early experiences were important in shaping his decision to pursue a career in medicine.
Dr. Jatin Patel values time with his wife, children, and parents. After moving to Georgia, his family found the state’s natural beauty and welcoming communities to be a source of happiness. He enjoys running, traveling, watching soccer, and discovering new foods.
