Foundations of Adlerian Play Therapy
Presented by: Janessa Henninger, PhD, LPC, RPT-S
Children communicate through play, and Adlerian Play Therapy provides a developmentally responsive, relationship-centered approach for understanding children's experiences while fostering courage, connection, and belonging. Grounded in Adlerian psychology, this approach emphasizes encouragement, lifestyle understanding, social interest, and helping children develop a sense of significance.
This interactive two-day training introduces participants to the foundational principles of Adlerian Play Therapy and provides practical strategies that can be immediately integrated into clinical work. Through lecture, demonstrations, experiential activities, and case examples, participants will explore how Adlerian concepts come to life in the playroom.
