Fall 2020: Female post-secondary students who are at least 18 years of age; enrolled in a biology, chemistry, or math course at Mercy; interested in topics related to advocacy, coping, and resilience in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) are currently being recruited to participate in a study to investigate learning experiences of female STEM students. Students who are selected to participate will be asked to complete three one-hour online interviews during this academic year. Upon completion of the third interview, participants will receive a stipend of $225 in the form of TD Ameritrade bankcard. Intersex people are sought to participate in a series of interviews during spring 2018. The study is focused on the school and career experiences of intersex people and uses individual and focus group interviews to improve policy and educational services. Participants will receive a $75 Amazon gift card to participate (pending funding). They complete an individual interview on school experiences, a second individual interview on career experiences, and a focus group interview at the conclusion with other intersex people.
