DriveDeck is a dashcam application for Android. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.
## Information the app accesses
### Camera
DriveDeck uses the device camera to provide a live viewfinder and to record dashcam video when you start recording. Video created by the app is stored locally on your device in DriveDeck-managed storage. DriveDeck does not upload your recordings to a DriveDeck server.
### Microphone (optional)
If you enable microphone audio, DriveDeck uses the microphone while recording to include audio in your video. If microphone audio is disabled, DriveDeck does not record audio. Audio recorded in a video is stored locally with that video and is not uploaded by DriveDeck.
### Files, recordings, and storage information
DriveDeck reads and manages the recordings it creates so that it can provide playback, saving, sharing, looping-recording storage management, and protected-event footage. It also checks available device storage to warn you before recording space runs low. This processing takes place on the device.
When you choose to share or export a recording, Android's system sharing interface and the destination you select handle the shared file. DriveDeck does not control the privacy practices of that destination.
### Device and app settings
DriveDeck stores settings such as recording quality, loop-storage limits, microphone preference, interface options, and feature toggles locally on your device. The app does not provide user accounts and does not use these settings to identify you.
## Advertising
DriveDeck displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob in production releases. Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or receive device and online identifiers, IP address, diagnostic information, and information used for advertising, fraud prevention, measurement, and ad personalization, subject to Google’s policies and your consent choices where required by law.

DriveDeck does not sell your recordings, microphone audio, or camera content to advertisers. DriveDeck does not use your camera or microphone content for advertising.
## Information DriveDeck does not collect
DriveDeck does not require an account, does not request location permission, does not collect GPS location, and does not upload recordings to DriveDeck-operated servers. The app does not enable Android device backup for its app data.
## Data retention and deletion
Recordings and settings remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or DriveDeck removes older ordinary loop segments to make space for new loop footage under the storage limit you selected. Protected recordings are not automatically removed as ordinary loop segments are; you can delete them in the app or through Android storage controls.
You can revoke Camera or Microphone permission at any time in Android system settings. Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
## Security
DriveDeck keeps its recordings and settings in app-managed device storage and does not transmit them to DriveDeck servers. No method of storage is completely secure; protect access to your device and any recordings you export or share.
## Children
DriveDeck is not directed to children. Do not use the app to record, share, or collect information about children in a way that violates applicable law.
## Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The updated version will show a new effective date.
