This privacy policy applies to the Android app "Drive Cost Tracker"
(com.bgappsch.drivecosttracker), published by BG Apps.
1. Data You Enter Stays on Your Device
All data you enter in the app — vehicles, fill-ups, charging sessions,
expenses, reminders, settings — is stored only in a local database on your
device. It is never transmitted to us or to any server we operate. We have
no access to it.
You can export your data at any time (CSV export or JSON backup) using your
device's share function; where that exported file goes is entirely under
your control. Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored app data.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve
and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- Device identifiers (such as the advertising ID)
- IP address and coarse location derived from it
- Device and app information (device model, OS version, app version)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This collection is performed by Google, not by us. Google's use of this
data is described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
and in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services"
(https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you are
asked for consent before any ad-related data processing starts (Google UMP
consent form). You can review or change your choice at any time in the app
under Settings > "Manage ad consent".
3. Permissions
- Notifications (Android 13+): only used to show the service/insurance
reminders you create yourself. The app works fully without it.
The app requests no storage, location, camera, microphone or contact
permissions.
4. Children
The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal
data from children; the app itself collects no personal data at all.
5. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, the updated version will be published at this
address with a new "Last updated" date.
