Hi, I'm Dripto, a doctorate in theoretical physics (string theory) from the University of Turin, Italy. I am currently looking for postdoctoral positions while working on multiple projects. About Me
I originally hail from the city of Kolkata, India. I attended the South Point School and South Point High School for 15 years in total, from primary to higher-secondary level ! After clearing the CBSE board exams, I decided to pursue a career in physics. I graduated from NISER, Bhubaneswar, under the aegis of the Dept. of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, having been supported by an annual stipend of INR 60k and a contingency grant of INR 20k as part of the DST-INSPIRE Fellowship, awarded by the Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Afterwards, I joined the 3-year PhD program in Theoretical Physics (string theory) at the University of Turin, Italy. I recently earned my doctorate in theoretical physics (string theory) from the Dept. of Physics, U. Turin.
My current research interests mainly include, but are not limited to, string amplitudes, string-bh correspondence, Riemann surfaces and AdS/CFT holography. For more details about my projects, please visit the Projects page.

I earned my doctoral degree in theoretical physics at the Dept. of Physics, University of Turin.

I graduated from NISER in July 2022, with an MSc. degree in physics and a minor in mathematics. My overall CGPA at the end of 10 semesters (5 years) was 8.67/10.00 (86.7%).

Research experience
(2025-2025): Research visit to Nordita, Uppsala U. and MPIG (AEI).
(2022-Present): Started working with Prof. Igor Pesando of the Dept. of Physics, University of Turin for my PhD.
(2022-Present): Worked with Prof. Anupam Mazumdar of the University of Groningen, to investigate photon-graviton interactions and related scattering problems.
(2021-22): Worked with Prof. Sayantani Bhattacharyya of the School of Physical Sciences, NISER on my MSc. thesis titled, "A Perturbative Approach to the Classical Soft Graviton Theorem in Anti-de Sitter Spacetime".
(2021): Worked with Prof. Subir Ghosh of the Physics and Applied Mathematics Unit, ISI Kolkata. Investigated Quantum Backflow near the horizon of a Schwarzschild black hole.
(2020): Worked with Prof. Amaresh K. Jaiswal of the School of Physical Sciences, NISER on my Bachelor's. thesis titled, "Triplet Pair Production in QED".
(2019-20): Worked with Prof. Subir Ghosh, of ISI Kolkata. Investigated the quantum mechanics of a particle on a torus knot.
