Privacy Policy for DrinkCount

DrinkCount ("the app," "we," "our") is designed around a simple principle: your drinking data is yours, and it stays on your device.

Summary

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. There is no account, no login, and no server. Everything you enter into DrinkCount is stored locally on your iPhone and never leaves it, except through Apple's own payment system when you subscribe.

What data the app stores (locally only)

DrinkCount stores the following information only on your device, using Apple's on-device storage framework:

• Drinks you log (type, size, strength, time, and optional cost)

• Your optional reduction/taper plan (starting limit, target limit, dates)

• Your optional weight and biological sex, if you choose to enter them to enable the BAC estimate feature

• Your currency preference

• Your subscription status (confirmed locally through Apple's StoreKit)

None of this information is transmitted to us, to any analytics service, or to any advertising network, because the app doesn't contain any such services.

Payments

Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system. We never see or store your payment information — that's between you and Apple, governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy. We only receive confirmation from Apple of whether you have an active subscription.

Data sharing

We do not share, sell, or rent any data to third parties, because we do not collect any data to begin with.

Data deletion

Since all data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes all of your DrinkCount data permanently. There is no account for us to delete on our end, because none exists.

Health information disclaimer

The BAC (blood alcohol content) estimate provided by the app is a rough approximation for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, is not a substitute for professional guidance, and must never be used to determine whether it is safe to drive or engage in any activity. Always consult a healthcare professional regarding alcohol use and its effects on your health.

Children's privacy

DrinkCount is rated 17+ due to alcohol-related content and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because the app does not collect data from any user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised effective date.
