FunUtility ("we," "our," or "us") operates various mobile applications available on the Google Play Store (collectively referred to as the "Applications"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Application and the choices you have associated with that data.
By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
First-Party Data Collection
We collect and process specific types of information to provide, maintain, and optimize our core hydration tracking and personalized drinking reminders. This data is structured as follows:
Account and Profile Data (Biological & Physiological Information):
To calculate accurate, tailored daily hydration goals via our algorithm, the Application asks you to provide personal profile metrics. This includes your gender, age, body weight, standard meal times, and typical waking/sleep hours.
Storage & Sync: This profile data is uploaded and securely stored in Google Cloud Firestore to ensure your custom settings and hydration algorithm parameters remain synchronized across your devices.
Purpose: This biological information is used strictly to run our dynamic intake recommendation formulas and is never shared, sold, or used for commercial marketing.
Usage and Hydration Logs:
The Application collects data regarding your day-to-day interactions with the platform, specifically your water/beverage intake logs, custom drink configurations (names, icons, fluid ounces), and daily goal completion history.
Storage: These operational tracking logs are saved securely using Firestore infrastructure to prevent progress loss when you clear app caches or reinstall the Application.
Device Permissions (Functionality-Driven Only):
To ensure the Application works properly as a utility tool, we request the following permissions, which do not harvest personal files or background location tracking:
Notifications Permission: Allows the Application to deliver daily reminders and goal milestones to your screen.
Exact Alarm / Background Execution: Necessary to guarantee that your custom water tracking reminders trigger precisely at your configured times without being killed or delayed by Android’s aggressive background battery-saving modes.
Third-Party Data Collection
Although we do not collect your personal information, the Application utilizes trusted third-party services that may automatically collect data used to identify you, optimize performance, and serve advertisements.
These third-party providers may collect information such as your device’s Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our service, the time and date of your use of the service, and other statistics.
We use the following third-party services in our Application:
Google Firebase (Analytics and Crash Reporting): We use Firebase to understand how users interact with our Application and to monitor app stability. Firebase may collect device identifiers, installation UUIDs, and anonymized usage statistics to help us fix bugs and improve performance.
Google Play In-App Billing (In-App Purchases): We use Google Play Billing to process payments for our Lifetime Premium Membership safely. When you make a purchase, Google Play manages the transaction entirely. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, banking details, or billing addresses. Google may share anonymous transaction metadata with us (such as purchase time, order ID, and product ID) solely to verify your payment status and restore your premium features.
Google AdMob (Advertising): We use AdMob to display advertisements in the Application. AdMob uses cookies, mobile advertising identifiers (such as Android's Advertising ID), and tracking technologies to deliver personalized or non-personalized advertisements based on your interests.
For more details on how these third-party providers handle your data, please review their respective privacy policies:
2. Children's Privacy
Our Application does not address anyone under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions within the EU). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it from our servers immediately.
3. Compliance with Privacy Regulations
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) Compliance
For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your data based on your consent. Third-party advertisers (AdMob) may serve personalized ads only if you grant explicit consent via our in-app consent form. You can modify your choices at any time within the Application settings.
CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) Compliance
For users residing in California, you have the right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (including device identifiers used for targeted advertising). You can manage your advertising preferences through your Android device's built-in privacy settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
5. DATA DELETION AND ACCOUNT CANCELLATION
We respect your privacy and provide you with full control over your personal data. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated synchronization data at any time.
How to Request Account and Data Deletion:
In-App Deletion (Instant): You can permanently delete your profile and cloud-synchronized history directly within the Application. To do this, navigate to the "Me" page, locate the "Account & data" section, and select "Delete cloud data". This action will immediately and permanently erase your biological metrics (weight, age, gender, meal/sleep schedules) and hydration logs from our Google Cloud Firestore servers, and automatically log you out of your Google Account.
Email Deletion Request (Alternative): If you have already uninstalled the Application or cannot access the app interface, you can submit a deletion request by sending an email to yoyostudio2019@gmail.com.
Data Retention and Processing Timeframe:
Upon receiving your email deletion request, we will verify your identity and permanently delete all your user profiles, historical tracking logs, and configuration records from our databases within 7 business days. Please note that once data deletion is processed, it is permanent and completely unrecoverable.
