Distinguish Lecture from Keysight Technology Malaysia

With Keysight Management Team

1.0 Introduction

I started my academic career as a Lecturer in 2005 and become a Senior Lecturer in 2009 at the Fakulti Kejuruteraan Elektronik dan Kejuruteraan Komputer (FKEKK), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Currently I am serving at Department of Electronic Engineering. I had always see myself as an educator that educate the competent future human resource to this country as well as to the world in Telecommunication Engineering.

2.0 Teaching Philosophy

To Nurture Competent Future Scientist and Engineer

Students have different pace and background in learning and different ability in digesting the knowledge and skills. In order to prepare the students to be relevance in IR 4.0 and future telecommunication technology, the right content, lab practices as well as the project assignment are crucial. As an educator, I try my best to provide necessary knowledge and skill needed. However, I am also always ready to cater the student expectation in learning by assessing their needs in class regardless of their current performance.

"I believe the competency in the area of practice started with the right skill and knowledge in the area of study"

3.0 Teaching Methods

In delivering the courses, I had applied combination of methods depending on situations such as team-based learning by group discussions, flexibility in lectures delivery, intermittent questions and answer and also blended learning through the use of online platforms. The students need to prepare their assignment in video and will be upload to you tube so that it will benefit the public which have the interest on the discussed topic.

Keysight RF & Microwave Industry-Ready Student Certification Program

The Keysight RF and Microwave Industry-Ready Certification indicates competency and proficiency in the use of Keysight’s industry-leading PathWave electronic design automation (EDA) software and test and measurement instruments. A key component of this certification program is the use of Keysight's RF and microwave workflow environment: a comprehensive way to simulate, measure, and analyze communications components and systems.

7.0 Teaching Goals

My goal as an academician is to encourage students on their inquisitive nature to explore the knowledge. Depending on the course matters, whenever possible, I will try to relate and stir the student interest into the matter by showing them the connection of their knowledge with the skills needed and how it's going to be apply in real engineering field. I hope I will be able to achieve this goal by continuously improvised myself; in adjusting and updating myself on the relevant teaching approaches so that it is in accordance with the students’ expectation; while upholding my teaching philosophy.
