I am Davide, a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mathematics "Tullio Levi-Civita" at the University of Padova. My research focuses on deep generative models for graph generation, under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Sperduti. A significant aspect of this work involves generating graphs that represent molecules with desired properties, contributing to the discovery of new molecules in collaboration with Prof. Stefano Moro. I also collaborate with the Department of Economics and Management "Marco Fanno" (DSEA) at the University of Padova, supporting the research activities of Prof. Antonio Parbonetti on applying AI to generate knowledge graphs from unstructured data.
I am an active member of the Molecular Modelling Section and Machine Learning Group, as well as the Bioinformatics Italian Society (BITS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
I earned my Ph.D. in Brain, Mind, and Computer Science (curriculum Computer Science and Innovation for Societal Challenges) from the University of Padova in collaboration with Fondazione Bruno Kessler. Throughout my doctoral program, I conducted research both at the University of Padova in the Machine Learning Group under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Sperduti, and Fondazione Bruno Kessler in the Data and Knowledge Management Research Unit under the supervision of Prof. Luciano Serafini. Additionally, during my Ph.D. studies, I conducted a research period at the University of Copenhagen under the supervision of Prof. Desmond Elliott. Previously, I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from the School of Computer Science at the University of Padova. During my master's studies, I also had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ program at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
