About

Dr. Hyzan Mohd Yusof is a practicing Senior Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon by profession in Sunway Medical Center. His passion for orthopedics and helping athletes and regular patients alike regain mobility and return to activities they love has driven his over 30-year medical career across clinical practice and leadership roles.

Dr Hyzan is also a Founder and Chairman for OSA Technology Sdn. Bhd., a major supplier of orthopaedic implant products to the Ministry of Health (MOH) hospitals nationwide which has been listed in the Approved Product Purchase List (APPL) since 2011. Under his leadership, OSA has established an extension network and distribution channels to the international market such as Germany, the Middle East, Africa and other Asian countries. 

On top of that, Dr Hyzan established Greenmask Sdn. Bhd. in 2020, a sister company to OSA Technology Sdn. Bhd. Over the years, Greenmask Sdn. Bhd. has earned a reputation that has a unique combination of quality, trust, and reliability as start-up company suppliying medical equiptments such as surgical masks and PPE. Dr Hyzan actively participates in producing innovative medical products under the establishment of Glucosenz Sdn. Bhd.

After graduating with his basic medical degree from prestigious National University of Malaysia (UKM), Dr. Hyzan pursued rigorous specialist training overseas in United States of America. This allowed him to gain exposure to complex knee and shoulder reconstructions and the latest techniques in cartilage restoration and minimally invasive joint replacement therapies under world-renowned experts. He also conducted research and presented at international orthopedic conferences to continue advancing knowledge in the field. Upon returning to Malaysia, Dr. Hyzan served as a specialist at private hospital centers enhancing his skills in arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, and partial knee procedures. As he treated countless patients, he became renowned for his personalized approach, dedicating time to explain options thoroughly and easing concerns during recovery. 

As an expert guide for Sunway’s Joint Replacement Centre, Dr. Hyzan drives continuous enhancement via modern approaches like robotic-arm assisted precision total knee replacements. Patients flock and trust his experience of over 2000 successful joint surgery outcomes. Yet he retains his humble, compassionate manner that reassures. When not healing patients, Dr. Hyzan gives back through roles like Honorary Treasurer for the Malaysia Association of Private Hospitals. There and in life, he models balancing excellence as both an orthopedic clinician and exemplary role model for others to emulate on their own path in medicine.
