Hi! I am Amy Dixon, head coach of the DRHS Top Cats! This is my first year as dance team head coach at DRHS. I am excited for what this season has in store for this team!

A little about me!!

I am recently married to my husband Connor as of July 16, 2022! I am a dog mom to two doggos Dobbie and Beamer and a cat mom to Luna! I am a double graduate of Longwood University. My undergraduate degree is in psychology and my graduate degree is in counselor education with a concentration in school counseling. I am an elementary school counselor in Henrico County. I love spending time with my family and friends and of course browsing Target!

I have been dancing my whole life! I studied all types of dance growing up ballet, tap, jazz, point, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and more. I was also a part of my studio's competition team growing up. During college and grad school I was a member of the Longwood University Company of Dancers for 5 years and I taught dance at a local dance studio in Farmville for 3 years.I was an assistant coach for a local high school dance team in Chesterfield for the 2018-2019 season where I learned the ropes of running a high school dance team. I have taught dance to all ages and abilities and I am looking forward to the 2022-2023 season!
