Retrolisthesis

Retrolisthesis occurs when a single vertebra slips and moves back along the intervertebral disc underneath or above it. It's not the same as a dislocation.

Anterolisthesis (Spondylolisthesis)

In anterolisthesis, the upper vertebral body is positioned abnormally compared to the vertebral body below it. More specifically, the upper vertebral body slips forward on the one below.
