Dr. Gulab Chand is a Linguist and an assistant professor at the Department of Languages, Literature, and Cultural Studies (DoLL&CS) at Manipal University Jaipur, Rajasthan. He earned his Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab, India, and his MA in Linguistics from the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Prior to joining Manipal University Jaipur, he worked at IIT Ropar as Institute Director’s Fellow, at IIT Ropar as a researcher, at Amity University Haryana, and at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Noida, as an assistant professor, His research interests lie in the fields of Phonetics and Phonology (Optimality Theory), Distributed Morphology, Evolutionary Linguistics, NLP, Media, culture, & Communication, Tourism, and Language and Culture Documentation. He has participated in International workshops and presented research papers at National and International Conferences and also published several research articles in internationally acclaimed journals.
