Here's some scripts I wrote that I'm not too embarrassed to share. Some of them might get made some of them will get made some of them won't get made.
140 CHARACTERS (newest draft) (2025,131 pages)
I probably won't leave this up for very long so read it while you can.
"EARLY MORNING NEWS" (2022, 47p)
I had a lot of fun writing this but it sort of fell into a produce-ability hole. It's too long and has too many characters for a short but absolutely can't be expanded into a feature. I've thought about editing it to a stage show (it's written so it can be done with as few as four people playing multiple roles) but too many of the jokes are visual- or editing-dependent. So right now it's just a screenplay sitting here for you to read.
"THE COURT AT CASTLE AVALON" (2024, 10p)/ "SHE'S NOT THERE" (2025, 10p)
These were written for a contest in which multiple teams would be given the same script and make different movies. I ended up participating as a director in 2024, making "Trapped," and as a producer in 2025 on a film that's currently in post. My idea in both years was to deliberately write scripts that could be re-staged across different settings ("Avalon") or tones ("She's Not There")-- scripts that it would most interesting to see not just one, but multiple versions of.
"Avalon" was kind of submitted as a joke, knowingly sending in something that couldn't be produced at a contest-level scale/ budget/ time-frame. It's sort of an attempt to do a Robert Altman film (the use of musicians is an homage to KANSAS CITY) in a Game of Thrones setting.
"She's Not There" was designed as a little more produce-able but ultimately still didn't get picked. If you're interested in making a version of it contact me and we'll figure something out.
"I'm Sorry/I'M Sorry" (2020, 5p)
This draft was also submitted for that contest, hence the crossouts.
It probably will get made eventually, though other projects (see the homepage!) meant I missed my window to shoot it in fall like I planned.
SILVER MOUNTAIN (2023, 120p)
Hey look a feature! Too many of my feature scripts are hopelessly earnest and dated and like 200-plus pages long and will NOT be showing up here. But this one's probably OK. I think. I haven't looked at it in a while. I was gonna reread it and then put it up here but I haven't had time yet.
I submitted this to Austin Film Festival and got the most tremendously illiterate notes I've ever encountered. Festival is fun but don't waste your effort on the contest.
"MORNING ROUTINE" (2020, 1p) & "DIGNITY" (2020, 1p)
Two perfect scripts no changes necessary
"LET ME TELL IT TO YOU STRAIGHT" (2024, 7p)
This one needs a rewrite but I'm hoping to make it soon. It's kind of dependent on how much room I have around 140 CHARACTERS.
"WALKING IN CIRCLES" (2024, 9p)
In which I confront God who is my father but also Joseph Campbell. In which everything is nothing, but also anything can be everything. Is it better to be better than to be anything? What you fear in the night in the day comes to call anyway-yay.
[This one probably also will get made pretty soon.]
An old draft of 140 CHARACTERS that I probably shouldn't make public (2024, 122p)
On the other hand, you've scrolled down this far so maybe you've earned it. Plus I did copyright it.
Like half of this has been cut and the other half feels already dated because it was pre-election and pre-broligarchy and some of the best sketches weren't even conceived of yet when I started this draft and I'll probably replace it soon with a better one don't read it. No, do, it's fine. No, don't. Or do. Or don't, I don't care. You're not my real dad.
