Eligibility:
No memberships are required!
Jr/YR Division- Riders up to age 22 in the current competition year
Adult Amateur Division- Riders 22+ in the current competition year
Open Division- Any professional according to USEF/USEA/USDF rules. Jr/YR and Adult Amateur's may cross enter into open classes for an additional test fee.
Competitors may enter via the Google Form posted before the start of each show.
Tack and Attire Rules:
No show clothes are required however riding pants or breeches are highly suggested.
Proper headwear, safety equipment, and riding boots must be worn at all times while mounted. Closed toed shoes must be worn during In Hand classes.
USDF/USEA/WDAA/USEF acceptable tack and equipment must be used.
Set Up Rules:
Letters should be placed in the correct positions around the arena.
Riders may choose to use the short dressage arena (20x40 meters) for any tests not requiring letters "R", "S", "V", or "P". It is highly suggested that riders in tests from First level upwards use the traditional full Dressage arena (20x60 meters) for their tests. **This is not required. If your arena is smaller than the traditional sizing you may still enter.**
Tests can be ridden in an arena or on grass.
Filming Guidelines:
Any video from the current competition year may be submitted.
Proof of date can be either the date the video was uploaded to Youtube or a time stamp on the recording itself.
Tests must be filmed from "C".
Videos should clearly show all movements of the test. It is highly suggested that tests are filmed by another person to improve motion tracking and video quality, however that is not a requirement.
Riders are permitted to use a caller.
Riders are not required to unmount and perform a tack check after their ride.
Entering and Paying Class Fees:
No office fee!
$15 dollars per test entered- $10 for the judges fee, $5 donated
A Google Form will be posted before the beginning of each show where competitors can select the classes they would like to enter.
Payment should be sent through the provided PayPal link, please include enough to cover the processing fees
For 1 - 2 Tests add $1
For 3 - 4 Tests add $2
For 5 - 7 Tests add $3
For 8 - 9 Test add $4
For 10 + Tests please contact management for specific amount
If you are showing for points or in multiple divisions you may enter the same video in a second division for an additional $5. The video will only be judged once if you are using the same video. If you wish to submit different rides in each division the fee would remain $15 per test.
Uploading and Submitting Videos:
Videos should be uploaded to Youtube via a private link.
Competitors name, horse's name, and test ridden should be clearly stated in the video's title.
When ready, competitors should submit links to dressageforgood@gmail.com before the close of the show.
Please include the month of the show and the rider's name in the subject line.
Refund Policy:
No refunds will be given for any reason after show fees have been paid. However if the rider is unable to enter the show due to illness or lameness their entry fees may be credited toward the next show held. Alternately, competitors could substitute a different horse as well.
If a rider is eliminated by the judge no refunds will be given for any reason.
Liability, sportsmanship, and animal welfare statement:
Dressage for Good is not liable for any injuries resulting from filming of competition videos.
Competitors are expected to uphold the highest sportsmanship values.
Riders may be eliminated at the judges discretion for any reason, including lameness, safety, and animal welfare concerns.
