DreamLens ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the DreamLens mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

a) User-Provided Content

DreamLens allows you to record or write dreams.

This content is stored locally on your device and is not shared with others unless you choose to export or share it.

b) AI Processing

When you use DreamLens AI features such as dream interpretation or dream visualization, your dream content may be securely transmitted to third-party AI providers, including OpenAI, for processing.

This processing is used only to:

• generate dream interpretations

• create dream visuals

• provide dream-related insights and patterns

DreamLens requests your consent before sending dream content to AI services. If you choose not to consent, AI-powered features will not process your dream content.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

AI-Generated Content Reports

When you report AI-generated content in DreamLens, we collect the reported AI output, such as an interpretation or image identifier, the reason you select, any optional comments you provide, and basic technical information such as app version and platform. We use this information to review reports, improve content moderation, and help keep DreamLens safe. Your original dream entry, dream recording, or journal text is not included in an AI-content report. 

c) Usage Data

DreamLens uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect limited app usage and technical information.

This may include:

• app launches and app interactions

• feature usage

• device and app information

• approximate geographic information

• in-app purchase events

This information may be associated with an app or device identifier. We use this information to understand how DreamLens is used, improve app performance and features, measure audience activity, and evaluate the effectiveness of app acquisition and advertising.

DreamLens does not use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) for this analytics setup.

2. How Your Data Is Used

We use your data to:

• provide dream interpretation and visualization

• improve app features and performance

• enhance user experience

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage

Your dream entries are stored locally on your device.

We do not store personal dream data on external servers unless explicitly stated in future features (such as cloud backup).

4. Third-Party Services

DreamLens uses third-party services to support specific app features and functionality: 

• OpenAI – processes dream content you choose to submit in order to provide AI-powered dream interpretation and related AI features. 

• Supabase – provides backend services, including handling AI-content reports and related app functionality. 

• Google Analytics for Firebase – collects limited app usage and technical information, such as app interactions, device and app information, approximate geographic information, and in-app purchase events. This information is used for analytics and to help measure the effectiveness of app acquisition and advertising. DreamLens does not use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) for this analytics setup. 

• RevenueCat – processes subscription and purchase information to validate purchases, manage subscription access and entitlements, and provide subscription analytics. 

These third-party providers process information as necessary to provide their respective services and are subject to their own privacy and data protection practices. 

5. Your Choices

You can:

• delete your dream entries at any time

• uninstall the app to remove all stored data

• choose whether to use AI features

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Children's Privacy

DreamLens is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be posted within the app or on our website.
