Dream.
Everyone deserves to have a dream.
Like Vanda who dreams to be a fashion designer.
Or Finnland whose love for dancing makes her dream to be a ballerina.
Or Joko who wants to dedicate himself as a soldier.
Or Lulu who wants to protect our heritage; thus dreaming to be a batik artisan.
Or Darto who is really astonished at a news anchor that he dreams to be a journalist.
And there are still a lot more people with their own dreams and goals.
However, not everyone is equipped with the required skills or means necessary to achieve those dreams and goals.
Our beloved idols worked hard to achieve their dreams; now let’s help others achieve their own.
EXO is a top K-Pop group based in South Korea. Through the years, their steady growth and achievements have inspired millions of fans from all over the world to work hard in pursuit of their own goals.
With the upcoming birthdays of two of EXO’s members, D.O. (Doh Kyungsoo) and KAI (Kim Jongin), we would like to ask everyone to help others start their journey in pursuing their dreams together.
Why we chose the YCAB Foundation?
Since we are asking a lot of people to participate in this project, we have to find a trustworthy and credible organisation; thus choosing Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB), which literally translates to “Loving the Nation’s Children Foundation”.
For 18 years, more than 3 million children have experienced the benefits of the programs done by YCAB, both education program and economic empowerment program for youth. As of now, YCAB has 54 Rumah Belajar (learning centers) all over Indonesia where underprivileged students can learn not only basic education, but also vocational training such as digital inclusion, English literacy, sewing, hairdressing, batik making and electrical devices reparation. Students are taught both hard skills and soft skills (entrepreneurship and work readiness) to prepare themselves for the future.
Right now, YCAB is ranked 44 out of Top 500 NGOs in the world (NGO Advisor-Geneva), being the only NGO from Indonesia who is placed in Top 50.
YCAB also helps the mothers of the students who run small business to improve their income through micro-loans and micro capital. The key requirement for them to be a part of this program is having their children attend school. A part of the profit earned through this program is then used to fund education program run by YCAB.
It's quite easy to donate! Just follow these simple steps:
We believe not only D.O. and KAI who smiled with this gift, the kids at YCAB will surely smile and cheer. And rest assured, you will also smile happily :)
