DR. TIRTHANKAR SARMA

Dr. Tirthankar Sarma, M.A., M.Phil., B.Ed., Ph.D. Postdoctoral Felow

He is presently working as Postdoctoral Research Scholar. He completed M.A. from Gauhati University and M.Phil. from Gauhati University. His M.Phil. dissertation topic “Changing Social Milieu Associated with Madan Kamdev Temple- A Neighbourhood Perception Study”. He has completed PhD from Rajiv Gandhi University. His Ph.D. topic “Effect of Groundwater Arsenic Contamination and Human Health- A Study in Medical geography on Kamrup and Darrang District of Assam”. He has received gold medal for best fine arts from Gauhati University. Sarma has been awarded as “Young Researcher Award” and “Research Excellence award” by In Sc in 2020. Tirthankar Sarma is a hardworking geographer and expert in the study of water groundwater quality and medical geography. He is author of book “Portraits” published on July 2009. He is artist and get many National and State award for his painting. He is winer of Reality Show “Art Assam Art”. T. Sarma has been awarded as “Ankan Bhaskar”’ from Rabindra Bharati University and “Ankan Ratna” From Bangiya Sangeet Parisad.
