Title: Study on fixed point theorems for single valued and multi valued mappings and their applications to best approximation.

...............................................................................................................................................

Project Outcome

Because of the diverse applications of fixed point theory, this theory has widely been applied in many other branches of science and engineering. Our present study in this project emphasize the theoretical and computational aspects of existence of fixed/coincidence points and iterative approximation of single valued and multi valued operators which are the main tools to solve various problems concerning operator equations and inclusions. The study includes end points of multifunctions describes the role of endpoints in Topology and broadening the scope of fixed point, approximation results and iterative methods.
