Dr. Dan Sathairaj joined as Assistant Professor in the discipline of mechanical engineering at IIT Indore on November, 2019 . He did his PhD (2016) from IIT Hyderabad in the area of High entropy alloys. Before joining IIT Indore, Dr. Dan was worked as a postdoctoral researcher at TU Dresden, Germany during May 2017 to November 2019. His postdoctoral research was funded by prestigious Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation. Dr. Dan eagerly wants to work on the areas of micro, nano - machining of advanced multi-component alloys (HEAs), Surface Engineering, Basic deformation through conventional routes (Ex: Rolling, Swaging, Extrusion, etc.,), Severe plastic deformation, recrystallization and grain growth behavior of these alloys.
