Autobiography
Dr. Chaim (CJ) Rodríguez is a bilingual (Spanish/English) educator with an extensive background in mathematics and science education, K-12 and language-based standardized assessments, and the integration of technology in education. His professional trajectory in the field of education includes serving as a teacher in both the public and private sectors of Puerto Rico, an administrator of a charter school in Washington, DC, and a project manager for the development of standardized language proficiency tests for the Federal Government of the United States.
He holds academic degrees in the area of math and science education from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and in religous studies from Wesley Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and Barry University (Th.D).
CJ is currently a doctoral student in the Curriculum and Instruction Program at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, with a dual concentration in EducationalTechnologies and Educational Research and Evaluation (INEVA). CJ’s current research interests includes Technology access and equity for K-12 students in Puerto Rico.
He currently teaches mathematics and Technology in Caguas, P.R. and also develops and facilitates workshops and seminars in the area of technology integration for teachers in the DEPR. CJ resides with his three four-legged children—Albizu, Freud, and Eva Luna—in San Juan.
