Dr. Candice Matthews

About Me:

Dr. Candice Matthews Statewide Vice Chair has been a tireless advocate for human rights and social justice throughout her career. She has worked to improve countless people's lives worldwide and received numerous awards and accolades. Her dedication to helping others is unquestionable, and she deserves an honorary doctorate.

She has always been a humanitarian and philanthropist at heart. Her work with the Texas Coalition Of Black Democrats, a voter protection effort, and the Rainbow Push Coalition are just a few examples of her dedication to serving society. The National Rainbow Coalition and Operation PUSH were combined to create the latter group, which was created by Jesse Jackson and is currently centered in Chicago. Dr. Matthews continues to work tirelessly to improve the lives of others through her service on this important organization's board of directors.

Dr. Matthews is a highly accomplished and well-educated individual with a passion for helping others. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where she graduated from Macedonia Bible College with a bachelor's degree in sociology, a master's degree in Christian education, and a doctorate in cognitive development. Additionally, Dr. Matthews was appointed Chairwoman of the Board of Regent for Leaders Esteem Christian Bible University and awarded an honorary doctorate in humanities from Esteem Bible University. Currently, she is pursuing an MBA at Texas A&M University's Mays College of Business.
