Dr. Borhan Uddin Ahamed, Professor of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology teaches medical ethics in under graduate medical Studies in Monno Medical College, Manikganj, under University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His research interests are in the areas of forensic science, medical ethics, doctor–patient relationship, community development, forensic social work, and restorative justice and parctice in academic medicine. He has pursued these areas out of professional and personal interest as independent lines of inquiry and as a consolidated focus of research. His present research is exploring the role of restorative justice as a strategy to address youth violence, conflicts resolution between doctor and patient in medical negligence case, community development by civic engagement in open judiciary system and restorative practice in medical education.
