Certifications:
Graduate Certificate in College Teaching
I was awarded this certification in the completion of courses involved in pedagogical practices. Through this coursework, I now involve research-backed methods into my classrooms.
CIRTL Scholar
CIRTL (Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning) "seeks to enhance excellence in STEM undergraduate education through development of a national faculty committed to implementing and advancing evidence-based teaching practices for diverse learners." Through the CIRTL program at the University of Iowa, I was awarded a TAR (Teaching As Research) Fellowship. I will later release more details on this project in the future. CIRTL also offers varying levels of certification. The Scholar level, is the highest level of certification.
Project NExT Fellow
I am a fellow (Silver '19) of a national group from the MAA (Mathematical Association of America) called Project NExT (New Experiences in Teaching). The group provides many professional development opportunities for Ph.D.s in the mathematical sciences dedicated to the improvement of teaching and learning in mathematics.
