Who can apply for SHE? What are the eligibility criteria for availing these scholarships?
(a) Meritorious Students with aggregate marks within top 1% of their Class XII examination of any State/ Central Board in India are eligible. In addition, the student must be pursuing courses in Natural and Basic Sciences at the BSc, BS, and Int.MSc/MS level.
(b) Those students who have secured ranks in the JEE of IIT, AIPMT (within top 10000 ranks), and are presently pursuing Natural and Basic Science courses in India at the BSc, BS, Int.MSc/MS level.
(c) Students pursuing Integrated M.S. courses at IISERs, NISER and Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Basic Sciences, Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) scholars and International Olympiad medalists pursuing Bachelor/ Master level courses in Natural Sciences.

How much is my SHE valued?
The scholarship is valued at Rs. 80,000/- per annum. Each candidate will receive annual scholarship @ Rs. 5000/- per month total value of Rs. 60,000/- . All the SHE scholars are required to undertake summer research projects under an active researcher in any recognized research centers across India. A summer time attachment fee of Rs. 20,000/- will be paid as Mentorship every year. The scholars have to submit the project report and Certificate from mentor after the completion of the project in due course of time.

What is the eligibility criteria for KVPY 2019 ?
(a) Stream SA: Students enrolled in the XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2019-20 and having secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination.
Students promoted through both the Summative Assessments-II conducted by the school and conducted by the Board are eligible to apply, if they satisfy eligibility criteria. If the students have obtained a letter grade in the qualified examination, they are requested to convert it into an appropriate % marks and fill-up the application form.
(b) Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII standard / (+2) during the academic year 2019-20 and aspiring to join an undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S.) for the session 2020-21 provided they have secured a minimum of 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the X Standard Board Examination. They must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII standard Board Examination before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.
(c) Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st Year of an undergraduate program in sciences (B.Sc./B.S./ B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S.) during the academic year 2019-20 and having secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in Science subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the XII/(+2) Standard Board Examination. In the 1st year final examination of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./M.S. they must secure 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.
1. Is it necessary that the students have to study all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics?
In the Stream-SA all questions are compulsory (Science and Mathematics)
In respect of the streams SB and SX , there will be four sections in Part I (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) and four sections in Part II (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics). Candidates may answer any THREE of the four subjects in Part I and any TWO of the four subjects in Part II. In case candidate attempts more sections, best of three in Part I and best of two in Part II is considered.
2. When does the KVPY advertisement come in the newspapers?
The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies on the Technology day (May 11), and on the second Sunday of July every year.
3. When can I get the application form?
The KVPY is publishing its detailed advertisement on 2nd Sunday of the month of July every year. The application form can be obtained after the publication of the advt.
4. When should I submit application form?
The last date for submission of the application form will be notified in the detailed advertisement published during July every year.

STREAM SA : Forenoon 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Candidates should report at 8:30 AM)
STREAM SB/SX : Afternoon 2 PM to 5 PM (Candidates should report at 1 PM)
Prathibha Scholarship

Scholarship is awarded for studies in Basic / Natural Sciences.
Students are selected at Undergraduate level only.
Selection is based on the aggregate marks obtained for all science subjects in the Higher Secondary Examination.
Those who have availed Prathibha Scholarship for all 3 years of Undergraduate Course and has qualified Degree course with minimum 75% marks are eligible to continue the scholarship for Postgraduate course.
The selected students are eligible for scholarship as follows.
i. U.G. Course/ First 3 years of Integrated P.G. Course
1st Year - Rs. 12,000/- 2nd Year - Rs. 18,000/- 3rd Year - Rs. 24,000/-
ii. P.G. Course (subject to scoring minimum 75% marks for Undergraduate course)

Offers opportunities for attending Science Enrichment Programmes and summer internships in reputed National and State level R&D institutions in Kerala.
Eight Prathibha Scholars (two scholars in each of the disciplines- Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) are eligible to be considered for summer programmes at IISER-Trivandrum. The selection of Prathibha Scholars for summer programmes is subject to the norms of IISER-Trivandrum.
Applicant should be of Kerala origin.
Applicant should have qualified Higher Secondary Examination form Kerala.
Applicant should have qualified Higher Secondary Board Examination with minimum 90% marks or equivalent grade for all subjects put together and minimum 90% marks or equivalent grade for all Science subjects put together.(For SC/ST reservation category, the eligibility is stipulated to minimum marks of 80% or equivalent grade for all subjects in total and minimum 80% marks or equivalent grade for all Science subjects in total).
Applicant should have secured admission for 3year B.Sc. / 5 year Integrated M.Sc. / 5 year Integrated BS-MS course in Basic or Natural Science (23 subjects enlisted in the ‘guidelines’) in any of the Institutions or Universities in India in 2019-20.
Stage 1: Online Registration

A valid Mobile number and E-mail ID accessible to him/her during the entire stage of selection process.
A recent passport size photograph image of dimension 150W ×200H pixels.
Applicant should enter their Name, Date of Birth, E-mail ID and HSE Roll Number to commence online registration.
Applicant should enter the OTP received through E-mail and should enter a password of minimum 6 characters to continue registration.
An Application number will be generated on successful registration. This number and the chosen password will be mailed to the applicant, which should be used for future login.
