Privacy Policy for DrawInk
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how DrawInk ("We," "Us," "Our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the DrawInk mobile application (the "Service"), including when you buy DrawInk Pro.
Locally stored information. When you first open DrawInk, you're asked to enter a display name and choose an avatar. This information is stored only on your device, using standard iOS local storage. It is never transmitted to us or to any server, and we have no access to it.
Drawings you create in DrawInk are saved only on your device. We do not upload, access, or store your drawings on any server, and they are never shared publicly or with other users.
Sharing your drawings. If you choose to share a drawing as an image or a video, the file is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. You decide where it goes. We do not receive a copy.
Usage and analytics data. DrawInk uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This may include information such as:
Device identifiers
Device model, operating system version, and general device information
App interactions, such as which screens and features you use (for example, starting a drawing lesson, completing a drawing, viewing your progress, or adjusting settings)
General usage patterns and app performance data
This information is collected automatically as you use the app and is used only to understand app usage and improve the DrawInk experience. It is not linked to your display name, avatar, or drawings, and it is not sold or used for third-party advertising.
Crash and diagnostic data. DrawInk uses Firebase Crashlytics, also provided by Google LLC, to help us identify and fix bugs. If the app crashes or encounters an error, Crashlytics automatically collects a diagnostic report, which may include a device identifier, device model, operating system version, and technical details about what the app was doing at the time. This information is used solely to diagnose and improve app stability.
Content delivery. DrawInk's lessons and artwork are downloaded from servers when you use the app. When your device makes these requests, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., may receive standard technical information such as your IP address and device and network details. We do not use this information to build a profile of you.
DrawInk offers an optional upgrade, DrawInk Pro, as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Payments are handled by Apple. Every purchase goes through your Apple ID and the App Store. We never see or store your card number, billing address, or other payment details.
RevenueCat confirms your purchases. We use RevenueCat, a service provided by RevenueCat, Inc., to verify purchases and unlock the Pro features you bought. RevenueCat creates a random, anonymous app user ID for your installation and receives purchase information from Apple, such as the product you bought, the purchase and expiry dates, your subscription status, and your App Store country. It may also receive technical information such as your device type, operating system version, and IP address.
No account is needed. We do not ask for your name or email address to buy Pro. Purchase information is not linked to your display name, avatar, or drawings.
Restoring purchases. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, Restore Purchases asks Apple to confirm your earlier purchases with the same Apple ID.
RevenueCat's practices are described at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
We use the information described above only to:
Operate and maintain the Service
Confirm your purchases and unlock the Pro features you bought
Understand how the app is used, so we can improve features and fix issues
Identify, diagnose, and fix bugs and crashes
Monitor and improve app performance and stability
We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, to sell to third parties, or to show you ads. DrawInk contains no advertising of any kind.
We use the following third-party services to operate DrawInk:
Apple (App Store) — processes your payments and manages your subscriptions under Apple's own privacy policy, https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) — purchase and subscription verification, as described above.
Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — app usage and interaction data, as described above.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — crash and diagnostic reporting, as described above.
Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) — hosts and delivers DrawInk's lesson content, as described above. Cloudflare's practices are described at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
These services may process data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Google's own privacy practices for Firebase are described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it with any other third party, and we do not use any advertising or remarketing services.
DrawInk is designed to be used by people of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children beyond the locally stored, non-transmitted display name and avatar described above, which is never sent to us or to any third party. The usage, diagnostic, and purchase data described in this policy is collected automatically from the device and is not used to identify any individual user, including children.
Purchases can only be made by the holder of the Apple ID on the device. Parents and guardians can use Apple's Family Sharing, Ask to Buy, and Screen Time controls to approve or block purchases.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information beyond what is described here, please contact us using the information below, and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
Your display name, avatar, and drawings remain on your device only, and are retained until you delete the app or clear its data.
Usage and diagnostic data collected via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics is retained by Google in accordance with Google's own data retention practices for Firebase services.
Purchase and subscription records are held by Apple and RevenueCat under their own retention practices, so they may remain after you delete the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription (see Section 7).
Managing your subscription. You can view, change, or cancel a subscription at any time in your device's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting DrawInk does not cancel it.
For users in the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR). If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
Request access to information we hold about you
Request correction or deletion of your information
Object to or restrict certain processing
Request data portability, where applicable
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
We process purchase data to deliver the Pro features you bought, which is necessary to perform our contract with you. We process analytics and diagnostic data for our legitimate interest in improving and securing the app.
Since DrawInk does not collect directly identifying information (no accounts, no names or emails tied to you personally), most of these rights apply to the device-level usage, diagnostic, and purchase data described above. You can control the usage and diagnostic data at any time by deleting the app. To exercise your rights over purchase data, email us at the address in Section 11 and we will work with RevenueCat where we can.
For California residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. The information we collect may include identifiers and purchase history, handled by the providers named above. DrawInk does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
Do Not Track. Some browsers and devices offer a "Do Not Track" signal. DrawInk does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, as there is no common industry standard for how apps should interpret them.
We take reasonable steps to protect information handled by DrawInk and its service providers, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because DrawInk uses Google's Firebase services, RevenueCat, and Cloudflare, information described in this policy may be processed on servers located outside of your country, including in the United States. These providers maintain appropriate safeguards for international data transfers as described in their own privacy documentation.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, such as collecting a new type of data, we will also take reasonable steps to let you know in the app.
