Purpose
To inspire the artistic creativity and potential of children and teenagers, promote the "Three Acts of Goodness” movement (speak kind words, do good deeds, have good thoughts), present values of compassion, respect, and helping others as the foundation of happiness, and let young artists use colors to depict the beautiful world in their hearts.

(1) How to Participate
Complete the online application form and either mail or hand deliver the artwork to American Buddhist Cultural Society, 38 Bryant St Unit #3, San Francisco, CA 94105 or at the following Fo Guang Shan temples before the submission deadline. Please mark the envelope "2023 Three Acts of Goodness Art Contest".

(2) Submission period
From now until August 15, 2023. For mailed submissions, the postmark will serve as the submission date.
(3) Submission Guidelines
Participants in the preschool category must use the official coloring template provided below.
All other age groups should use 12x18 inch drawing paper. Use of materials are limited to pastel, watercolor, colored pencil, crayon or oil paint. Digital or computer-generated artwork is not allowed. Each person is limited to one submission. Incomplete application forms will not be accepted.
The participant's name and entry number must be written on the back of the artwork. The entry number will be emailed to the participant by the organizers. If the information provided is unclear or the artwork is lost, the participant will automatically lose their eligibility to participate.
★ Participants will be disqualified for any of the following reasons:
The artwork has been publicly published, distributed, or awarded.
The artwork is a copy of someone else's work.
The participant uses a false name.
★ All submitted works, regardless of acceptance, will not be returned. The organizer will retain copyright of all submitted artwork and may use it for any purposes without notification to the contestants.
