Your photos stay on your device
Drawing Studio turns your photos into drawing lessons, art styles and colouring pages entirely on your phone. Your photos and drawings are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We have no servers that receive your pictures, and there is no account or sign-in.
Camera and photos
The camera and your gallery are only opened when you tap "Take a photo" or "Pick from gallery". The photo is taken by your phone's own camera app, and only the single picture you choose is given to Drawing Studio. In "Draw on Paper" the app shows a live camera view of your paper and asks for camera permission the first time. The camera picture is only shown on your screen; it is recorded only while you press the record button, and the video is saved on your phone. Videos have no sound and the microphone is never used. On older Android versions the app asks for storage permission only to save your artwork or videos to the "Drawing Studio" album when you tap Save
Data stored on your device
Your videos, recent artworks and settings (theme, kids mode) are saved in the app's private storage on your phone so you can open them again. You can remove an item by long pressing it, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Drawing Studio is free because it shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and UK), you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & ad choices. Ads are limited to content suitable for all ages. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (Google → Ads). Firebase Remote Config
The app uses Google Firebase Remote Config to download settings (such as which ads are switched on). For this, Firebase uses an app instance identifier and basic device and app information. It does not receive your photos or any personal content. See Firebase privacy.
Sharing
When you tap Share, the picture is handed to the app you choose (for example a messaging app). What happens next is covered by that app's privacy policy.
Children
Drawing Studio is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are restricted to the "G" (general audiences) content rating.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be shown in the app and on this page with a new "last updated" date
