I am an Alexander von Humboldt postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Microstructure Physics and Alloy Design, Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung GmbH in Düsseldorf, Germany. I earned my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Masters of Technology (M. Tech) in Materials Science and Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, in 2023. My expertise lies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and experimental Materials Science, where I employ cutting-edge techniques to advance the field of material design and development.

During my PhD at IIT Kanpur, I explored compositional design, thermal stability, and mechanical behaviour of multicomponent metallic glasses. I pioneered the use of machine learning to gain insights into glass formation, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the role of elemental order and local atomic structure in the thermal and mechanical behaviour of such disordered materials. Additionally, I worked on the recovery and beneficiation of metallic and polymeric residue from electronic waste from a novel green route using cryomilling and physical separation to develop advanced technologies such as catalytic materials and graphene.

My current research at the Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung, with Prof. Dierk Raabe, focuses on harnessing Artificial Intelligence for alloy and process design. My work involves developing machine learning-based approaches to advance the development of sustainable advanced alloys through scrap steel. Additionally, I am also trying to understand the process kinetics, particularly in reducing manganese oxide using gaseous reductants.
