Antonino Masaracchia received the Ph.D. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the University of Palermo, Italy, in 2016. His Ph.D. studies were conducted in joint supervision with the Institute of Informatics and Telematics (IIT), National Research Council (CNR), Pisa, Italy, and the obtained results have been important contributions from IIT to the FP7-MOTO European Project.
Since 2024, he is a Lecturer at the Queen Mary University of London. He was a Research Fellow with Queens University Belfast, U.K. His research interests include 6G networks, digital twin based approaches, generative AI and machine learning techniques applied to wireless communications, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), UAV-enabled networks, and ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC).Â
He currently serves as a Guest Editor for IET Communications and a special issue on Radio Frequency Energy Harvesting and Wireless Power Transfer published by MDPI Electronics for which serves also as Topic Editor. He serves as guest editor for a special issue on Controls, Communications and Networking for Ad-hoc Mobile Sensor Networks published by ICSES Transactions on Computer Networks and Communications. He served as guest editor for a special issue on Reliable Communication for Emerging Wireless Networks published by Mobile Networks and Applications (ACM/Springer).
