Dr Amy Sprole

Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Amy Sprole is a leading figure in plastic surgery. She has dedicated nearly two decades to significantly contributing to aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Board-certified and highly regarded in her field, she has cemented her career as a trailblazing surgeon, distinguishing herself as one of the few female plastic surgeons in the Wichita area.

Her career began in New York City, where she underwent rigorous and comprehensive training in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. She later returned to her hometown, joining the team at the Plastic Surgery Center in 2006 and subsequently becoming the owner and managing partner. Here, she specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, body, and breast and performs an extensive range of reconstructive procedures for breast and skin cancer patients.

She holds multiple distinguished memberships, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She served on the Board of Directors of the Medical Society of Sedgwick County from 2011 to 2013 and continued as Treasurer through 2015. She has been recognized for her professional achievements with multiple awards and was honored in 2010 with inclusion in the prestigious '40 under 40' list of the Wichita Business Journal.

Outside of her surgical practice, she holds a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita and a Clinical Instructor with the Kansas City University. She actively participates in the education and training of surgical residents, imparting her knowledge and experience to the next generation of medical professionals.

Despite her bustling career, she maintains a vibrant family life with her four sons. When not attending to patient care in her busy clinic or the operating room, she often cheers at sports fields or shuttles her boys to various activities. Beyond her family engagements, she is keenly interested in fitness and outdoor activities, finding time to maintain her health and wellness. She is particularly fond of weightlifting, citing it as a critical stress reliever and a perfect way to start each day with a feeling of accomplishment. Her fitness journey began after the birth of her fourth son when she found the time to focus on self-care.

She is deeply committed to giving back to her community. She participates in Project Access, offering services to uninsured patients, and volunteers her time to teach students and residents, enhancing their surgical skills. Furthermore, she has served in several significant positions in medical associations, including the Medical Society of Sedgwick County, where she served on the Board of Directors and acted as Treasurer in 2015.

A series of awards and recognitions mark her career. These include The Dicran Goulian, M.D. Award for Academic Excellence in Plastic Surgery and the Distinguished Housestaff Award for outstanding service in the Division of Plastic Surgery. She is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Notably, her practice, the Plastic Surgery Center, recently celebrated its 55th anniversary, making it the oldest single-specialty group practice in Kansas. Dr. Sprole, a champion of her field, continues to reach new heights and make new strides in plastic surgery and beyond.
