Dragons have long been renowned in storybooks and passed-down folktales for centuries. Stories of these magnificent creatures exists throughout the world, from the wingless snakelike beings of wisdom and creation in the East to the flying monstrosities that plagued knights and numerous other warriors in the West. These Asian dragons have been known to have the heavens as their domain; however, it is not uncommon to see them as water-dwelling protectors of oceans and rivers. Some see them as gatekeepers. Some see them as trophies. They are the ultimate source of wisdom and power that exists from the dawn of time itself.
In this storybook, the Dragons of the East are the main focus. These dragons, whereas different in their in their appearances and the areas where they reign, are all derived from the same ancestor. From the dawn of time, these beasts of divinity were spawn of one Creator, as a testament to his egregious amounts of power. The Creator, near the end of his life, decided to divide himself into Three Beings that he hoped would bring peace and prosperity to the world, believing that one day they would be the tools to unite the ancient lands of China, Japan, and Korea.
However, centuries have passed and these states remain in constant wars that have plagued their nations with distrust and famine. Each of these dragons, throughout the centuries, have found multiple human companions. The purpose of these companions are to help the dragons fulfill their ultimate goal. Unfortunately, up until now, the Dragons have not found anyone that was successful in this goal. When a Dragon chooses their companion, their powers become imbued with that person, and only until after the death of the human companions are these powers separated and returned. In the meantime, however, there have been a number of people hunting the Dragons, hoping to receive their awesome powers. During the separation of power from the Creator, he warned the infant Dragons that if their bodies were to ever to be combined, then that would mean the end of times. Their sole purpose is to reunite the nations together, but never be fused back into one. That being said, the holder of the all three of the Dragons' powers will have unimaginable strength that rivals that of the Creator itself. What the holder of these powers will do... well, that is the ultimate question.
Will the Creator's vision of peace one day be realized?
