Tim and Hilary are occasionally a little unconventional. It's probably the Boulder influence. They met in 2006 at an interview weekend for FOCUS, began dating in Boulder, Colorado in 2009, and got married in 2010. Hilary thought it was unconventional to study Film at CU, but it turned out to be pretty mainstream compared to her last fifteen years serving as a Catholic missionary with FOCUS. Tim broke out of his solid midwestern upbringing and heartland education at the University of Nebraska Lincoln to be a rebellious FOCUS missionary and tax lawyer (CU Law). Seriously, ask any law student what subject they'd be least likely to specialize in, and it's probably tax! Hilary still works for FOCUS as West Area Director, and Tim runs his own estate planning practice in Lakewood, CO. Tim & Hilary like to cook, read, play board games, and enjoy the great outdoors! Their ten years of marriage haven't looked exactly as they pictured, especially not being able to grow their family as they'd hoped. But, God knew it was exactly what they needed and so He has invited them to continue their unconventional journey through fostering-to-adopt a group of siblings. The Draftz(es ... plural form hotly debated!) recently upsized their house and their hearts (and soon to be their vehicles - with your help) in order to welcome all the kiddos that God has planned for them!
